COLLABAGEDDON 2022

Collabageddon is back!  Now in its 6th year (but 5th time of happening, because of THAT THING) our collaboration brewing project makes a welcome return.  This year we have 12 brilliant breweries taking part to brew delicious beers that will be on sale in 25 awesome venues across the country. This year’s event takes place on Friday November 18th - make sure you have the date in your diary, you are in for a real treat this year.

THE BREWERIES

Amity Brew Co

First on the list are the lovely folks of Amity based in Farsley near Leeds. From their beautiful brewery located in a renovated mill they produce a fabulous range of pales, lagers and sours.

Attic Brew Co

Next we’re off to Stirchley in Birmingham (check out the beer mile!) with Attic, founded in 2018 by Sam and Oli who started brewing together when they were students in Cardiff. They love brewing juicy NEIPAs and flavour forward stouts and sours. Our mate Cath works there too!

Five Points

Down to London next with Hackney’s legendary Five Points. Supping a pint of their Railway Porter on cask is one of Andy’s favourite things. We’re huge fans and we’re absolutely thrilled to have them onboard this year!

Heist Brew Co

Back up north to Sheffield, the home of Heist and their incredible tap room (give it a google - doesn’t it look amazing!?). We met Adam and Dan at Generation Craft down in Kent and were absolutely smitten with their beers. We love their energy and can’t wait to work with them.

Jawbone Brewing

From their working boatyard by the Thames in Twickenham, Jawbone love to explore bold flavours. Founders Ben and Emma are big on inclusivity, integrity and having fun along the way. Their Motueka Pils (Highs and Lows) is worth seeking out and we’re intrigued to see what their collaboration brews will bring to the party!

Lakes Brew Co

It’s incredible to think Lakes are just a year old given all they’ve achieved since opening in their beautiful Lake District location. Founded by a team of wonderful people with a heart warming story of going it alone having been let go from their previous brewery jobs at the start of the pandemic. We’re really excited to have them involved.

McColl’s Brewery

Up to the north east now with McColl’s, based in Evenwood near Bishop Auckland. Danny and Andy chatted lots during the pandemic, sounding each other out on ideas and helping each other through the various trials and tribulations. They have a love of mad flavours (Cherry Dunkel or Beetroot Bier de Garde anyone?) and having fun through their brewing.

Pope’s Yard Brewery

Back down south to Hemel Hempstead now! Pope’s Yard is located in a beautiful old paper mill. Barbara and Geoff love brewing modern takes on historic styles and have produced some incredible Imperial Stouts and Lambic-style sours!

Radio City Beer Works

They may be the smallest brewery in this year’s line up but Chelmsford’s RCBW certainly go big on hops! On a recent visit to Essex, Andy fell in love with Dan’s beers and knew we had to get them involved in this year’s party. Of course, the spirit of Collabageddon being what it is, we’re sending the largest brewery taking part down to brew with them. Oops, spoiler alert!

Simple Things Fermentations

From their home on the south side of Glasgow, Phil and Ewan love exploring the unusual and less represented styles. Wheat Wine and Peated Pale? Yes please! Their Big Ideas series is where they really let loose and the beer we’ve tried have all been fantastic!

Wilderness Brewery

The final stop on our tour is Newtown in rural mid-Wales, from where the incredible Wilderness Brewery produce a range of wild beer from natural and foraged ingredients. Their barrel aged sours and authentic berlinner weisse wowed the crowds at Reading’s own Craft Theory recently and we can’t wait to see what they contribute to this year’s line up.
