JOB VACANCY - Operations and Taproom Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Elusive Brewing team as Operations and Taproom Assistant, reporting to the Operations Director. Based at our brewery in Finchampstead (Berkshire), this is a varied role in which you will assist in the day to day operations of the business ensuring consumers and trade customers receive their orders, helping in the brewery and working in our Taproom. Initially this is a part time role (4 days per week) but for the right candidate there is opportunity to increase it to full time and progress within the business as we grow. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stock management and stock taking.

  • Packing and despatching consumer orders.

  • Delivering trade orders.

  • Assisting with production and packaging as needed including canning, cask and keg filling and cleaning.

  • Taproom shifts as required including a minimum of two Saturday shifts per month.

  • Taproom prep and maintenance including line cleaning. 

  • Representing Elusive at local and national events as needed including markets, trade events and beer festivals. 

  • Assisting in other areas of the business within reason and as required. 

Our ideal candidate should be:

  • Friendly and personable with great customer service skills.

  • Organised, able to maintain accurate records and work to deadlines.

  • Self motivated, reliable and happy to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Physically fit and able to move casks (55kg) and kegs (31kg) without risk of injury.

  • A competent driver with a full, clean, drivers license.

  • Interested in beer.

  • Some brewing and/or hospitality experience would be beneficial but is not essential for the right candidate.  

  • A UK resident who can commute daily to the brewery. We cannot provide relocation or visa assistance.

 Hours

  • Starting in March, initially alternating Tuesday - Friday and Wednesday - Saturday. We are happy to discuss flexibility in these hours for the right person but some weekend and evening work will be required.
